Fan Starts Petition To Have Weird Al Yankovic Perform at the Super Bowl
A Seattle man has started a petition for Weird Al Yankovic to be the performer for Super Bowl 49 in Glendale, Arizona (February 1st).
The petition, posted on Change.org, currently has 7,500 signatures and counting. The petition also said artists that Weird Al parodies can join him on stage.
It says: "For decades Weird Al has entertained fans, young and old, with his popular clever parodies and unique sense of humor. Having him headline the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show. would not only be overly accepted by the millions of views, but it would remain true to the standards and quality of the show business we have come to love and respect out of this prestigious event."
Weird Al’s latest album, “Mandatory Fun” debuted at number one on the billboard top 200 last month. It was his first album in 40 years to do so.
