A pair of microbiologists put library copies of Fifty Shades of Grey under a microscope and discovered them crawling with germs.

The worst of the worst was herpes. You might guess which pages in the book had the highest infection rates.

Who knew you needed a prescription for Valtrex along with your library card?

That’s not what shocked them most, though. The Belgium professors tested the books for chemicals—a toxicology exam of sorts—and found stuck to the pages, of each copy, trace amounts of cocaine.   Source: Time
